Random Question for Any Canadian
When you all talk about football, do you mean football like we have in the United States or are you referring to what Americans call soccer?
|
No, no. Football here means American Stye football and Soccer is English football.
We use the same terms you do. Although in my house I do sometimes refer to soccer as football because my mum is English. |
Thanks! :)

Football can be either American or Canadian football, each with it's own different set of rules.

Football on TV == boring.
Football live == exciting! Though, I've never been to a professional football game. Do the Universities play American or Canadian style football? I know my highschool played a weird mix of them. |

Where are you from? Certainly not America. |
United States - NFL=National Footbal League
Canada - CFL= Children's Football League 8 teams and 2 of them have the same name?! (I know, I know, Ottawa changed its name) |
Canuck rules, eh....
Totally prefer Canuck football rules - more action and creativity to get things done in 3 downs, not 4
:) (Mind you - I love to watch Austrailian Rules Football - love the official who does the "double gun" point on a score!) |
