Ok.....remember this time last year....there was a lot of hoopla about the New Millenium? My question is January 1,2001 the start of the new millenium or was it in fact January 1, 2000?

I think it is January 1, 2001, the ACTUAL Millenium.

I just think of birthdays, you are not 1 year old when you are born you make that age the next time around. There is still much debate out on this - it really depends on when we started counting, and who can tell us this but a historian ...any historians on Greek chat. I feel 2000 was a big deal because of '99 flipping to '00 but '01 is the real time to party, the new millennium and century begins now ... I still say take some precautions as we did last year!!

You are right January 1, 2001 is the ACTUAL begining of the new millenium.
