LXA International Web Site!
Did any one else receive a message about updating Hdq Web Site:confused:
I have suggested a few times Jon Sagara and John Hammel for two people from the work that they have done on Jons Site which is awesome and Johns GC Site!:) I think the input idea is Great, but there are just a few things that I would like to see: Digital, Better Pixs of Badges, easier Links to parts of sites, or anything else that you guys would/could think of! Need input ASAP or if anyother of you have gotten this email from Kip via Chad Tino!:) Damn, maybe something is going to happen! :o |
Changes? You bet
1. Come up with a better directory - Separate entries for HQ staff & GHZ. Make it easy to find
2. List publications directly on the menu 3. A full section for history 4. Calendar section with advance dates for GA & Leadership seminar, and list them 2 years in advance, after all, they have those dates already. Share them 5. Current news section. The old web page had no current news 6. C & SC on line |
1. A searchable directory of all brothers ever initiated. Each brother, in his online profile, can select an option to hide his contact information if so desired.
2. An interface to this directory that will allow all Gammas to submit new associates over the Web. 3. Discussion forums similar to these at GC, or, preferably, some with a hierarchical structure, like some that I have mimicked from The Code Project: http://www.sagara.org/cpforums/. 4. A listing of *all* Zetas, dormant or not, with up-to-date contact information. Must be searchable, able to sort by Zeta, School, and State. One authoritative list from Int'l HQ is much more useful than the hundreds that are currently scattered all about the Internet. 5. Fewer graphics on the Web pages. It doesn't affect me so much, but I feel sorry for anyone viewing lambdachi.org over a dialup connection. --- There is currently a lot of good information on the site, but there is no way to interact with other brothers. |
Great Ideas!
Thanks for the input.:)
I am going to email Kip and give a list of about 15 ideas. Must have a new Web Master and server? |

There. I replied. Happy now?
I'd love to see Digital revived, or some similar tool we can use. |
Just sent the following list to Chad Tino at Hdq. I guess I was one of the few ,dozen or so that this was sent to! I have no clue why me, but I guess my name is some what infamous there. LOL!:)
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give input on this important project. 1. two web sites that may be of use in resetting the site- greekchat.com, for content and navigation. chops.org/lcaintl/zetas, from Brother Jon Sagara. 2. A list of all Zetas by Zeta , School, and State, whether Active or Dormant ( See Web Site Above) 3. Current News Section 4. Updating Pictures of Badges with a larger listing of types and styles. 5. Calendar section at least 2 years out for Regionl Leadership and General Assembly dates. 6. Interfacing by adding the Gamma to update Zeta Rolls. 7. Full section of The History time line of LXA. 8. A larger Link system to find information about Actives/ Alums/pictures that can be added for events and functions. 9. Posting Section such as Digital had with Discussion Forums, see # 1 for web site. 10. Section in Digital to update Zeta Officers with email/addresses/Phone numbers. This would include House Corporation if available, Alum Associations. 11. Navagational has always been a problem, so I suggest, a larger link system on the secondary page with a longer list of links to for more sections. 12. A section for Pictures from Zetas for events or just a gathering, with guidelines set in place. 13. A section whereby Brothers can interact with each other and Find Brothers who are at least listed in Hdq. Rolls. Asking to have Brothers update their own information with email/home address, phone number or someone such as my self who collects emails of the Members of LX. Z when I aquire them or have them go to web site. I hope this may give some help, I know We As Brothers are looking forward to full and current LXA Web Site. Looks good, Tom. Thanks for taking care of it.

Thanks for taking the time to compile the list. If we can get even 1/2 of what is on that list then we'll be ahead.
