nose piercing
So I am considering getting my nose pierced. So I wanna know if you have one:
How old were you when you got it and do you still have it if it has been more than say a year and half? Price range? Pain factor? Healing time? Easy to take care of? Have you gotten in trouble for wearing it at work? I am 22 and entering the job market so I don't know if it is wise to go and get one now. But everyone I have talked to says that it would look cute on me. I figure if I get a really small post for my job and interviews I might have and then get a larger one for everyday where. Oh and another random related question... how do you deal with allergies/colds/blowing your nose? |
I hope soomeone can answer this-- I have been wanting a small (very small) diamond nosering.

How old were you when you got it and do you still have it if it has been more than say a year and half? ~18 - took out 2 years ago for job related reasons only to find out one of the doctor's had one grrrrr Price range? ~I've seen them advertised for $20, I paid $40 Pain factor? ~the least painful of my piercings (labret, tongue, nips, belly) Healing time? ~it wasn't sore after a few weeks, but I couldn't change the jewelry for 6 months or so - everyone is different in healing times Easy to take care of? ~yes, just clean when you brush your teeth and/or shower and you are good to go (be careful of makeup removers in the first month, they can really irritate it) Have you gotten in trouble for wearing it at work? ~when I was hired they recommended I take out so I did....it just depends on the gauge (size) of the stud you are getting. Anything larger than 16 would really draw some attention so I'd say you shouldn't have a problem with an 18 :D Oh and another random related question... how do you deal with allergies/colds/blowing your nose? ~verrrrry carefully |

it was last year... I was 21. I don't still have it right now, but I'm getting it redone as soon as lacrosse season is over. Price range? $30 Pain factor? none whatsoever. I felt that something was going on, but never felt any pain. And I'm usually a giant wuss. Healing time? I changed the stud after 2 or 3 weeks Easy to take care of? very... just make sure you keep the makeup away from it (but if you're like me, you'll be afraid to put makeup on that side of your nose for a while anyway) Have you gotten in trouble for wearing it at work? I never had while I was working. Oh and another random related question... how do you deal with allergies/colds/blowing your nose? Honestly, my roommate and I both found it really hard to sneeze for the first few days... but other than that, it's completely normal. |

I got it when I was 13. I don't have it anymore. Price range? Free!! My mom did it for me Pain factor? Not that bad. A slight sting. This is coming from someone with a VERY low tolerance for pain. Healing time? Very quick Easy to take care of? Yes Have you gotten in trouble for wearing it at work? Nope, didn't have a job at the time how do you deal with allergies/colds/blowing your nose? I would just blow. If I had a real bad cold, I would take it out first and then blow. |

about 6 months ago Price range? 20 dollars Pain factor? if you can pierce your cartilage you can pierce your nose... my piercing guy said that it's normal for your eyes to tear up a little not matter what your pain tolerance.... Healing time? 1-2 weeks... but it's recommended that you don't change it for at least 6 weeks... Easy to take care of? yeah just clean it twice a day... Have you gotten in trouble for wearing it at work? actually most jobs I've had are more offended by my tongue ring and ask me to take that out not my nose... if you get a relatively small stud then most people won't even notice it... but you should mention it in an interview anyways in case they don't notice it... how do you deal with allergies/colds/blowing your nose? it's not really a big deal... you blow your nose just the same... you do get a runny nose a tiny bit easier but it's not that big of a deal... |
