a "third rail" has been laid

Here on GC, a "third rail" has been laid - and if you touch the third rail you will get dissed or worse by lovelyivy, librasoul, and their ilk. The third rail is race. What a shame.

I can't refute or agree with Hoosier's post, but one thing I do know about Librasoul is she highly offended by fashion "don'ts" As we all should be.

As for Lovelyivy, I haven't discussed last year's unfortunate prairie skirt phenomenon with HER but I can't imagine she'd approve either.

DeltAlum 10-04-2003 12:56 AM

Can somebody please tell me what this is about?

KDbutterfly 10-04-2003 02:01 AM

I think he's referring to this post: Here

I think ABC should know

I think ABC should know:

1 - the Alfred U. study of hazing in athletics is biased and wrong

2 - altho black GLOs and white GLOs both have Greek Letters on their T-shirts and houses, they aren't very similar. Both have their good points.

3 - the single worst case of hazing last year - two ladies drowned - involved a black GLO.

4 - Rush Limbaugh is right, and is not a druggy. He stepped on the third rail, mentioning the player's race.

According to a reliable internet source, no ostrich has ever been observed with his or her head burried in the sand.

*LOL* I almost committed one by purchasing a highly knockedoff Dooney & Burke handbag.:p

"ilk" is a word. You could substitute the word "fold" in for it and the sentence would mean almost the same thing.

"ilk" refers to people who are cut from the same cloth, so to speak. So people who look alike, or think alike, or act alike.

Here I suspect it refers to race.

:D I heart vocab

Here on GC, an "absurd rail" has been laid - and if you touch the rail you will get dissed or worse by hoosier and his ilk. The absurd rail is intelligence. What a shame.

I suspect it does to, which is why I'm asking. So again, HOOSIER, what do you mean? :o

AXWhoah 10-05-2003 02:52 AM

It seems to me that Hoosier is just trying to stir things up and get people bickering with each other since he/she knows that race is a hot button issue. I say, let's just ignore this thread all together. It's not really talking about anything constructive anyway...

erniegurl00 10-05-2003 03:49 AM

Maybe it's time we locked this thread.

Move it to the Chit Chat forum. This has nothing to do with greeklife.
