The West Wing

So, I know everyone watching "The Batchelor" but did anyone watch West Wing? I was kind of disapointed because last weeks was sooooooo good and I felt that this weeks was a let down.

SPOILER--

I was really surprised there wasn't more drama when they found Zoey and more of a rescue. It seemed very anti climatic

Anyone else feel that way?

I am a west wing fanatic - i too was a little let down by this episode :( I totally thought finding Zoe would take a bit longer and would a bigger moment on the show than what it was.

I agree...it was kinda anti climatic...i thought after last weeks very emotional episode that this one would echo that one....but i still liked it.

I got the impression that the fall out of the kidnapping is going to bring up huge conflict for Abby and Leo and her being kidnapped will have a lot of play time in the coming episodes.

I guess it's simply a matter of havign to find her before they can continue with the story line.

I missed last weeks episode but last nights I thougth was good. And I loved how Charlie was in her room instead of with the president.

It's still a good show to me!

i think they were trying to make those episodes more about the president and him dealing with stepping down rather than about Zoey

i feel so old. all of my friends make fun of me for watching this show. i love it.

We had TiVo conflict & it recorded Paradise Hotel...I know they'll replay the ep later in the season, but people, I need details. How did they find her? I heard it was a bit of a let down....

does anyone else wtach the west wing?

if so, help me out. I'm confused why Sam (Rob Lowe) left the show... and how did they write him out? He was one of my favorites, next to Josh and Donna, and CJ "The Jackal" Cregg :)

Sam left to run for the senate (or congress?) in his home district in Orange County (I think)...basically, the guy who was running originally died, but the guy's campaign advisor (Will Bailey) wouldn't drop out of the race. They sent Sam to the OC to talk him into dropping out b/c it was an embarrassment to the party...blah, blah, blah. Will Bailey made him feel bad about how the party had abandoned the Dems in that part of the state, as did the old guy's widow-so Sam ended up promising to run for the party to take the old guy's place, in the special election, if the old guy won the regular election....

Long story even longer, dead guy won, Sam kept his promise-they did a couple of eps w/Toby helping w/the campaign, I believe Sam lost, but he stayed away...then Will Bailey gets hired by POTUS to take Sam's place, and now he works for VPOTUS.

NOTE: In case you were wondering why RL left, it was a contract dispute...everyone was pulling down the big bucks, and NBC wasn't giving Rob any of the love...instead, they wrote him off & then developed a new drama for him which they failed miserably to promote, and now that it looks like Lyon's Den is going to be canceled, I am praying that them sending Will Bailey to VPOTUS' camp is just making way for a Sam return to the WW (woohoo!).

Did anyone watch the West Wing tonight?!? Did you see the previews for next week? I wonder what the scandal will be about! It looks like it might involve CJ and the former Vice President (Tim matheson)

did they have an affair or something?!

SmartBlondeGPhB 02-18-2004 11:40 PM

Hasn't come on yet here.............

cutiepatootie 02-19-2004 06:46 PM

I have watched the West Wing since teh beginning and i love LOVE LOVE that show. I am very disppointed that NBC did that to Rob lowe because to me he was a main reason why it was soo good.

I missed last nights episode so i dont know what happened.

kappaloo 04-07-2004 11:40 PM
