It's All Relative

did anyone catch it's all relative last night? I am ashamed to admit this but I recognized one of the gay dads from that Olson twins show Two of A Kind.

I watched it and laughed my butt off!! Of course, growing up in New England helped make it that much funnier!!! I found the mother rather annoying though. And the stupid, slutty sister thing was just pointless..... she's a useless charachter.

And I must admit... I recognized the dad during one of the ads for the show... I LOVED Two of A Kind!!! But we all have our guilty pleasures.

ARGHS! I missed it! I can't believe it. I was all set to just watch it but I forgot about it since I went to a fundraising event... darn.

I thought it was hilarious. I'll be tuning in again.

I thought the irish dad was really funny. the way he and the other two dads argued cracked me up. i am definitely going to tune in again this week.

does anyone know where the main actress is from? has she been in anything else?

bafromkc 10-09-2003 11:06 AM

anyone see last night's episode?

ilovemyglo 10-09-2003 11:09 AM

yes and I just realized that the girl- her name in real life is Maggie- she is from Louisville- she used to be on the local Fox Affiliates "Fox Kid's Club"
Everyone hated her because she was snobby.

alsparky 10-09-2003 01:17 PM

I saw it last night and again, loved it!!! I was confused about the brunette girl who appeared to work at the bar.... was she on last week's episode? It wasn't the sister - and speaking of, where was the sister?!?!? Or did they think she wasn't well received and changed her?!?!? I was very confused!!

I'd love to know how the show is received in other parts of the country.... how well do people relate to the Boston based show? And does the show portray or influence what you think of Boston & it's residents?!?!

In closing, GO RED SOX!

alsparky, the girl with the dark hair was the sister. I guess they decided to change her look after the pilot.

did you see the episode last night? i thought it was pretty funny when bobby broke the coffee machine and was trying to plug that hole in the wall. good stuff.

I thought I recognized him! Although it wasn't from Two of a Kind, it was from "Thoroughly Modern Millie" on Broadway, where he played Millie's boss. The mom was also in TMM; she played Mrs. Meers (and she was also Frasier's agent on Frasier). It's kind of random that they ended up in the same TV show together, too.

I was, too. That was SO me the first time I met my BF's family. I thought I"d help his mom make dinner...and I broke the Cuisinart. Well, I"m sure it was about to break anyway, right? At least my goof didn't require a hole in the wall to fix!

I saw the Halloween episode last night. It was pretty funny, it turned out that their gay party planner turned out to be straight. it was pretty funny.
