Recognition Pin
What are the recognition pins for? I was going through some of my mom's old stuff today and FOUND HER PIN BOX, which made my night! It still has bronze, pink, and blue ribbon tied to it (and they look very old). Inside her pin box was a recognition pin and a little golden anchor charm for a necklace. I know you can buy recognition pins from BurrPatt, but what exactly are they? Who wears them? The only think I can think of is that my mom's mohter (my grandmother) was president of their DG's Parent Club...do you think she wore the recognition pin? Why wouldn't she wear a mothers pin? I'm just trying to figure out who wears recognition pins...

well I don't know about anyone else, but we use them for new initiated sisters so they have something to wear instead of their pi alpha pin until their official badges come in. A lot of times they are lcaimed "lost" but I think people just wanted to keep them as a little present...i think they are also used to give to people that show outstanding excellence in either scholarship or some other areas...
Hope that helps LITB Mandie |
