Looking for a famous brother
 

Hey Brothers...I had heard a rumor that Kenny Chesney is a Brother. I was curious if this is true or not, and if so, is there anyone out there that has an alumni directory or could just send me his contact info...our chapter has something we'd like to ask him. If anyone could get me that info and email it to SGILL4613@hotmail.com and just put something about LXA in the subject, I'd be really greatful. Thanks.

I go to Univ. of Tenn and Kenny Chesney went to ETSU for a few years. Chesney is from Knoxville and what I have heard is he associated with Lambda Chi Alpha but never got initiated, i've heard this through very reliable sources. I'm not the biggest fan of Kenny Chesney but I guess that would be sort of cool to have an alumni like him.

John Otten told me a couple weeks ago when he was here that it is true he was associated.

As far as I know Kenny was initiated but could not pay dues and there for had to drop...watch some of his videos and u can see a few things that might suggest he was initiated.

While at the Outdoor Leadership Adventure this past summer, I met some guys from East Tennessee State University. I asked them if the rumor about Kenny Chesney was true and they did indeed tell me that he was an intiated member of their chapter.

I checked the 2003 Directory and he's not listed in either the alphabetical section nor the East Tennessee State section.

But I did go to his website and he sounds pretty good! His personna suggests he might be the next Buffett.

What kind of Buffett is that?

Chinese, Family, Italian?

I have a good friend from ETSU who is a chopper and Chesney was initiated at that chapter. He was in the chapter with him. Brother Chesney did not graduate from the univerity but was later given an honorary degree. He now appears in commercials for the university. Give me a few days and I can dig up his Zeta number from my sources.

PS: Apparently when brother chesney lived in the house the brothers teased him mercilessly about his musical asperations. lol.

Yes, Kenny is a brother. He is Iota Omicron 555, if you want to have some trivia fun with your Brothers.

I smile every time the song, "Keg in the Closet" comes on...when it says, "This old guitar taught me how to score right there on the Lambda Chi porch..." I always think about my favorite Lambda Chi boys!!

Texas Country musician Jason Boland graduated from OSU as a Lambda Chi. He came last year in San Angelo to Blains Back to School bash and wore one of are Lambda Chi shirts on stage while he sang.

Remember one thing, they are now Preformers and Their Time is not thier own!

If every LXA asked them to come preform gradis, they would not make any money!

Some will for Local Chapters or Donate Time or Money!
