log out?
 

Umm, i was just wondering, is there anyway to actually log out of this chat, so no one else can write under my name? I had a little bit of a problem with that today, and i apologize to those who saw what was written without my permission.

Once you post a message in this discussion system your username & password is stored in a cookie for the current browser session as a convenience. Whenever you leave the computer you were working on make sure you close all web browser and email windows so the cookie info containing your username & password is deleted.

This discussion system also has a feature that gives you the option of either having a one-year cookie set on your browser to store your username & password or the option not to store cookies beyond your current browser session. You can access this feature through the "preferences" link near the top right portion of this page. Unless you access this discussion system using a computer that is only used by you, DO NOT enable the one-year cookie option.

Remember, when you finish using the computer make sure you close all browser windows so the cookie containing your user info is deleted. In the "preferences" page there is a link near the top that will clear all cookies set by this forum - you may want to use this in addition to closing down all browser windows when you leave the computer.
