guys that go to strip clubs? guys that go more than once a month?

Would you date one? marry one?

this question came up on my other Forum and i thought i'd see what the GC response is.

I can count the times i've been to strip clubs on one hand and they were mostly for bachelor parties, my 21st bday and a couple other special occasions. I do know guys that go like, weekly. (not me, not even if i had the $$$ to do so :D )

so, would you feel threatened if your beau was always at the nudie bar?

I don't think I'd personally have a probelm with it. Looking is always fine, it's the touching that gets you into trouble. Besides my goods are better than theirs anyday ;)

This was freshman year, but my boyfriend at the time (now an ex), 2 of our guy friends, and 1 of my girl friends went to this club. Well, someone got the day wrong because that night it was only 21 and over. So being that we didn't want to waste the night, we were trying to figure out what to do. 1 of the guys suggested going to this strip club. My ex had already been once before to the one that was suggested and so it was really up to my girl friend and me. At first I wasn't sure, but I was like who cares, let's just go. So we go, it's not that big of a deal, I didn't care if my ex was watching, he wasn't doing it disrespectfully by any means, he was just watching from afar with me by his side. Anyways, I thought everything was fine, new experience whatever. Then the next day my girl friend told all of our girl friends on our floor that she couldn't believe I went to a strip club with my boyfriend. Then she came into my room and was all like why didn't you stick up for me as women, we shouldn't have gone, blah blah blah. I was like whoa, she seemed fine with it yesterday, and now this. But I just countered with I didn't care, it's not like he was going to go home with any of them, I know he loves me and I'm secure enough with myself and our relationship, so it didn't matter.

Just thought I'd share that little story.

As long as it is "with the boys" and he comes home to me afterwards, I don't have a problem with it. If it was everyday and lunch too, I would dump him. :D

My sister has a problem with this. Funny story. Her husband went out with the boys one night after getting home from his deployment. They had moved to Sacramento. He knows how my sister feels so he checks in a couple of times. At one point he told her not to worry, the club they were at didn't even sell drinks, so nothing was going to get out of hand. My sister hung up, and said to her friend thoughtfully, "In Dallas, the only clubs that don't serve alcohol are the All Nudes". Her friend says "It is the same in California". SO BUSTED!!! I don't think she talked to him for a week. :p

Some guys like to golf. Some guys like to hunt. Some guys like to look at big mounds of silicone bouncing up and down to cheesy music. Whatever floats their boat. :)

The only time I would object is if it made a substantial dent financially, or if he started hinting that he'd like me to look like the girls in the strip club and get a boob job. That would result in a very fast kick to his genitalia. :p

I have no problem with a guy going to strip clubs occasionally. My husband has been to clubs a handful of times, including for his bachelor party, and I'm fine with it. Likewise, I've been to male strip clubs a few times, including my bachelorette party.

Now, if he were going every day and twice on Sunday, we'd have a problem. I'd draw the line at no more than a few times a year.

Personally, I wouldn't like it. My boyfriend had been to those clubs, but not in years. He prefers spending time with me.

Some women have a problem with strip clubs, and the men in their lives should respect that. If a man spends more time focused on naked women than his own relationship, I think that there is a problem.

Mr. Monet said he has been to strip clubs where they allow you to touch for pay...

However, ever since marrying me, he has found no use to go to strip clubs... And there is no silicone involvement...

I guess I see it as a maturity thing on some level.

Strip clubsseem so teenager to me. I wouldn't get upset if any boyfriend I had wanted to go, but he would have to endure my mocking him for a very long time, lol.

As long as he can handle my burgeoning shoe fetish we'll do just fine.

This is how I would feel too. It's not so much that I'd be worried about him looking at naked women -- just that I'd question his taste! :D

I agree with aephi alum, though. A few times a year and mostly for special ocassions is fine, but if it starts to be a regular thing I'd be turned off.

I personally would not date or marry a guy who was a regular at a strip club. I find it pretty disrespectful.

There is such a things as too much. I wouldn't have a problem with it if he went every once in a while. But on a regular basis it would become a problem for me.

I really don't mind. TKE209 has gone a handful of time "with the boys" and he always comes home early and tells me that I'm hotter. :D And anyway..he's probably spent a maximum of $20 at one of them...he just knows he has to pay triple later for me ;)

Maybe its just b/c I'm in the middle of Missouri, but here the strippers are NASTY.....my ex boyfriend has gone a few times and I didn't care...as long as he didn't go in the champagne room. He's gonna stare at it, whether its in porn or in person- and I knew all of his friends, so I would have heard if something happened.

The fact that he could have a naked girl rolling around in front of his face and ignore her to come home to me, shows me what an excellent catch he was. There's nothing wrong with having some ground rules in relationships, but the tighter you pull that leash, the further he's going to run away.

BUT--- strip regular??? Even once a week would skeeve me out- I'd lay down the law.
