Atlanta Area AOII's

I just recently moved to the area from Michigan. I'm a recent graduate/alum from the Lambda Eta chapter at Grand Valley State University. I would love to give back to AOII all that I've received over the past four years as a collegian. Are there any advisor/volunteer opportunities in the area??? Also, I would love to get to know my fellow alum's in the greater Atlanta area also. I don't know many people in the city yet, and being a social person, I'm starting to get lonely!! Please feel free to email me at roxanehudson@excite.com if you can help me out! Thanks so much and alpha love and roses to you all!

Hey, Welcome to GA!!!! :) I grew up in the Atlanta area and now live in LaGrange. What part of Atlanta are you in? Where are you working? There are AOII collegiate chapters at UGA, GA state, and LaGrange College if you are interested in helping in that way. There is also an alum chapter in Atlanta. Good luck getting adjusted and meeting sisters in the area.

Roses,
Sarah

Go to the AOPi website and click on alumnae chapters...the Atlanta area chapter probably needs you since convention is there in 2005!

I hope you love Atlanta as much as I do!! I grew up in Atlanta and have only been gone a few months. All of my family is still there, so I visit a lot.

The Atlanta alum group is great! I have been in contact with them before and they are a very active group!

Best of luck to you in the ATL!! :)

I'm not there yet, but I will be by the end of the year. Hubby will be there starting in about 2 weeks and I will follow as soon as we sell the house or I get a job (whichever comes first).

If anyone knows of any job opportunities please don't be afraid to let me know :D

WOW! I'm really starting to appreciate the value of this forum! Its so great to see the outpouring of support from everyone with their suggestions and ideas. I've now contacted the alumnae chapter and have met with the Gamma Sigma chapter at GSU for possible advisorship opportunities. I love that I've truly found sisterhood even when I moved 800 miles from my collegiate chapter. Also, if there are any of y'all that are interested in working for a big four public accounting firm, post a reply or email me at roxhudson@deloitte.com. I have the best line on accounting jobs, but we need all functions!

How awesome that Lambda Eta is showing itself and proving how small a world it really is! So nice to hear from you hottie! If you're still thinking a warm climate is where you want to be, I can't blame you...I'm lovin the weather compared to the gray days of Michigan. I hope all is well with you, and I hope you have a blast at formal for me. Take care!

Georgia State (Gamma Sigma) is always looking for alums to come visit our chapter meetings!!! (-;

Foxyalpharoxy 03-09-2004 05:22 PM

Thanks for the invite;) Gamma Sigma! I have already been to a meeting this past fall and the Pi Guy contest and enjoyed my experience very much! I was so impressed with Gamma Sigma as a sisterhood and was reminded of my sisters whom I miss so very much in Michigan. Hopefully after my busy season of work slows down, I'll be able to attend more Gamma Sigma functions and show my support for such a great chapter.:D
