The Wonder of Airbrushing or Now I Feel Pretty Damn Good About Myself!
This image is from the website of a man who retouches photographs (ie airbrushes them). Pretty interesting, actually :)

Holy COW!!!!! My jaw is on the floor...

How cool!
I have always wanted a nice studio portrait of my mother & me, but since my dad died, she's been hesitant ("I've aged!!"). Just yesterday, I got her to agree to have it done, IF we can find a photographer who will airbrush her imaginary wrinkles! This is a woman who gets stopped on the street about her amazing complexion!! So, I'm game! :) |
Thanks for that link. I'm going to show it to my boyfriend and his brothers so they stop believing that women in magazines truely look that beautiful! Silly men!
|
Yeah its like you and KillarneyRose ruining Christmas for men everywhere! You should be ashamed;)

THANK YOU TRACY!!!
I worry so much about my pores, my curves, my imagined fat. OMG. NO MORE. The woman in the bikini, her body shots, before airbrushing, look so much like, for instance, my thighs that I obsess about. WHAT AM I WORRYING ABOUT?! ha ha Now I know why everyone thinks I am insane. I never believed that women in magazines looked like real people with real pores and real flaws until now!! |
I have done stuff like this to countless photos...touching up makeup, removing superfluous hair, clearing up skin.. my best friend asked me to redo a bunch of her wedding photos - now some of her friends have asked me to do theirs, too. But I only have so many hours in a day!
I have my own photos that I need to touch up...actually, not so much my wedding photos, but I want to restore some old family photographs that were just about ruined. One photo can take HOURS... :\ Plus, of course, it's easier to save photos digitally these days, than having tons of photo albums.. |
Annie, how did you learn to do that? What sort of equipment do you use? It sounds like it would be a fun thing to learn :)
