street people...oh man...
 

*no intentions to start lighting the boards*

Here's a tribute to any entertaining interaction any of you have had with street people. Working at a downtown hotel i've seen loads of characters.

For instance, there's our repeat friend that is 100% convinced he's sitting on a big payday. Short, stalky, kinda dwarf-like...but never aggressive and doesn't appear in a decrepit state. In other words, he doesn't act out of the ordinary, except when...

He approached myself and another bellmen, "Hey, in 2 weeks i'll be worth $26,836,469.56, are the owners of this hotel looking for another partner? because i really think hotels over a 100 years old are great investments, I have a lawsuit for 29,836,465.48 (note his figure changed) and i'd really like to invest my money"
Not caring to hear this bullshit I walked away at this point, i let the other guy humor him until he leaves.

YESTERDAY:
I'm walking in the park in front of the hotel and see this guy heading my way with a joyous, bounce in his step...as he comes within 15 feet of me, he's about to cross in front of a couple sitting on a bench that is just ahead of me to my right...right then he yells 1 foot behind this chick, "YEAH WOOOOOO, IN ONE WEEK 12 MILLION! (pumpfist) YEAAAAAAHHHHHH" (walks away). She screamed, her bf was like wtf? And i'm biting my lip not too laugh, because although watching this unfold is hilarious, i'd rather not draw this guy's attention.

If anyone wants to share an entertaining anecdote like this, post away! I've got many.

there use to be this homeless guy in my hometown who would spin himself in circles as he walked, and he did ALL THE TIME...he was known as the spinner around town...
