A question for the Family!

Wassup Fam, I just wanted to know if there are any chapters of KKPsi/TBS, who have done a line in the fall? If you have please tell me if it is a good idea or not, because Im the President of my chapter, and I have been thinking about it, but I would like to know if it would be a good idea to do an intake in the Fall semester. Everyone please share your idea!

We just do one for the year since we're a small band and chapter.

Intake is always good......

Wut up frat.? Hey man, i think that fall lines are great.......first of all, the line needs to know what working for the band is really all about, and by making them work first hand during "Marching Season", which is where alot of the hard work for the year is done, it makes them think about if being in Psi is really for them or not. Intake at any time is good to me. i mean, everybody wants to be apart of KKPsi but its up to the bruhs to decide on who really deserves to be in it. You cant just let anybody in...but dont deny the tight dudes, that you know would be great additions to this wonderful brotherhood, the opportunity to be in KKPsi an extra semester, cuz once youre in, you wanna enjoy it as long as possible!!! Just a thought.........

It was traditional for my undergraduate chapter to always have a pledge class in the fall and in the spring.

However, in either 2000 or 2001 the university started a rule that first-semester freshmen could not join fraternities/sororities and NPC went to deferred recruitment. This affected KKPsi because we could no longer take freshman in our fall pledge class. This kind of hurt us because it makes it harder to have a fall pledge class, but it made our spring pledge classes bigger.

From my understanding, it's cool to have Fall lines, but you have to factor in that it will probably be more difficult for both members and MCs alike, especially if your chapter operates largely in the marchingband...HBCU band seasons are NOT a game lol.
