^5!! Otherwise that mofo does not get made!! What for? I'm getting back in it sooner or later.

Making it up is a waste of my time. That is 3 minutes I could sleep in or SOMETHING!!! :D

the lazy way

I have a sheet and a duvet cover on my comforter. I just pull them back flat, make sure nothing is crooked, throw the pillows on, and I'm done. One good thing about student housing is that the tiny beds are easy to make and the room is so small one side is next to the wall.

HOLLA!!!

The only time I really make my bed is if I'll be gone for a while, i.e. vacation. Other than that I close my door, no one should be in my bedroom while I'm not there anyway.

I never sleep under the sheets only under the comforter. When I am at my in-laws I make it up, but other than that...puuuhleeeze! Plus my husband leavs after me, so it really is his problem, and he actually makes it up. I guess he needs to be good at something domestic :p :p I have another question...

Do you sleep with the air on? I am from Cali and I NEVER slept with the air conditioner NEVER EVER, but when I went to Louisiana it was like a sin to not have the air on even when it was cold. My husband and I fight all the time. So air or no air?

No air for me! I must be warm in order to go to sleep.

I sleep with the air on and I make the bed everyday. There is nothing like getting into the bed when it was made . . . that's like getting into the bed after running a marathon or something if you don't make the bed. The bed has been open all day and if you needed to put something on the bed, you would be putting something in the bed. When I was in college, it was essential when I lived in the dorm to make the bed because even though I preferred that people didn't sit on my bed and actually asked them not to, there is no telling what happened on my bed when I was out of the room (though I think my roommates had more respect for me than that). I learned to make the bed when I was a child and have been making my bed since then.

it was a requirement to make the bed when i was growing up but now, when i visit home, i don't make it. weird.

when i was in school, i would have so many visitors that i kept my bed made. i didn't want people to see my room messy nor did i want people to sit on my sheets.

now, i make up the bed sometimes. i calculate how long it will be from the time i get out of the bed to the time i'm getting back in it. if i'm not going to be gone for a substantial period of time, i don't make it--unless i expect company. but, i have satin sheets and a duvet so when i make it, i just pull the duvet and it carries the sheets with it. takes about 3 seconds! :D

When I stayed in Lottie Anthony, I had a roommate from Oakland that had sinus problems or whatever and did not want to run the air at all. Keep in mind that this was in Louisiana. That was the longest semester of my life. I ran the air on high whenever he wasn't there, but I ended up just not being in the room most of the time. I kept a fan on my side of the room since I refused to sweat all the time because of him. Even though I am a California boy and have lived in heat before, that is a cake walk compared to Baton Rouge in the summer. My wife and I keep the air on blast 24/7 and some nights I turn the ceiling fan on just because.

As far as making up the bed, we both run out of the house so fast in the morning that we don't even worry about it. When I still lived at home, my mom used to fuss about me leaving and not making my bed. She would say stuff like, "What if I get sick at work and someone has to bring me home?". I would reply, "They shouldn't be looking in my room or your room that hard to begin with". The simple remedy to me was to just close the door since company shouldn't be disrespectful and enter closed rooms unless they are requested to do so.

no make bed!!!!

I dont really sleep under the sheets only the comforter... so i really have no reason to make the bed. And as for the air... i leave the air on during the spring and summer, and in the fall and winter i keep the ceiling fan on. but i guess its strange that i sleep under a comforter no matter the temp. i love the south but i rather be cold than hot when i'm asleep... and i rather be hot than cold when i am awake. it works out in theory!
