Zeta Chapter Closure in Chico
Has any one out there heard if the ZTA chapter at Chico State has closed. I heard a rumor that it was closed after rush this year and I just want to confirm if it was correct.

You are correct. The Zeta Tau Alpha Chapter did close this year after Recruitment. I don't have specifics, but I did speak with an alumna in California who did confirm this.

Yea, I go to Chico and the girls unanimously made this decision because they didn't do well during rush and numbers were low. It's really sad, those girls are super nice and the greek system really is going to suffer because we are just getting back to normal after what happened 3 years ago. :( Plus I really think their house is cute and they are only a couple blocks from us! Everyone was surprised because ZTA is soooo huge nationally. Good luck to those women :)

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that they had a suicide within their chapter. I believe that this happened more than 3 years ago but I am not positive.
This closure is a huge shock me to. They were all beautiful and wonderful women. They had genuine hearts and their presense together will be missed in Chico I am sure. My thoughts are with all! |
