This past weekend we had our chapter retreat and Diamond Discovery. I recieved my first lil diamond and she's such a complete sweetheart!!! I'm so excited about her and can't wait to spoil her rotten!

Hooray for Diamond Sisters! I remember the joy of diamond sister revealing from both sides! I loved being a Delta Diamond Sister and forming those special bonds with an Alpha member.

I'm so incredibly sick today, and my big diamond sis just called to say that she's on her way over with soup, ice cream, and movies. She's the best :)

My sorority just had our sisterhood retreat (We don't have rush here until January) and all of my alpha class (we're sophomores) said we cannot wait until we get our littles! We're already buying stuff for them!! {Lol, you probably think we're weird now, but my good friends and I LOVE our sorority...we're not the first and finest for nothing!}

I love my diamonds! We just had a family reunion in Tampa and we all flew or drove in from all over the country to be together over Labor Day. :) I am so proud to be an ADPi-- it has brought me close to so many wonderful people!

I get to see my "little" diamond sister in a little less than three weeks! I can't wait.....we didn't meet until my final year in the sorority, but in that short amount of time she's become one of my closest and best friends, and we have to make contact with each other at least once a week or so. She's so awesome!!! :)

I have four Diamonds. Three of them are named Sharon! How odd is that?

Lol, I don't know how your chapters "do" diamond sisters, etc, but at my chapter it is through mutual selection (i.e. the new alphas email the New Member Coordinator with the names of girls they'd be interested as their big/diamond sister and then the sophomores (or whomever was in the last iniatiated class & therefore w/o a younger diamond sister) also do the same), so many diamond sister groups (I will refrain from using the word "family" but I mean a senior, her younger diamond sister a junior, her younger diamond sister a sophomore, and her younger diamond sister a freshman) have similiarities.

For example, my older-older-older diamond sister Elinor grew up in Texas and that is how she knows my older-older diamond sister Lindsay, who grew up in a town near her. Lindsay is in an a FABULOUS a capella group with my older diamond sister Megan, who was my freshman orientation program counselor & who I love TO DEATH. [Hehe, Elinor aka "Nel" & I used to laugh that we were the un-musical people in our diamond sister group, because Nel's older diamond sister was also in an acapella group.]

I cannot WAIT for my younger diamond sister (p.s. I've been trying so hard to follow all the correct terminology in lieu of "big sis" or "family"..., my chapter president would be SO proud!!]!

But back to the point at hand, that is funny honeychile--and kind of eery in some way! :eek: :D :) :p

My diamond "family" is pretty similarly made up. The women without diamond sisters were given first chance at the new diamond sisters based upon your initiation, and when I joined ADPi, my older diamond sister was an elementary education major (as was I). In fact, the entire "family line" was elementary ed majors, so that was a big theme in our diamond sisters. When my "little" diamond sister joined the sorority, I said that I wanted her for my diamond sister...I was the oldest member without a diamond sister (that hadn't transferred), so I had first choice at picking my diamond sister. It was the best relationship I ever formed within the sorority (I actually just got off the phone from talking with her and we'll be talking again tomorrow!)....and the elementary ed major theme continues to this point (but her newest diamond sister is not a el ed major, so it stopped with her after my diamond's first diamond deactivated from the chapter).

Diamond sisters are awesome! If anyone has any cutsie diamond sister stories (like ForeverDiamond -- I thought that was so SWEET your <> did that for you! :) ) let's share!

I'm getting to know my lil <> a lot better and I absolutely love her. Since she's new to the area I thought it would be kind of cool to visit a new restaurant every week that she hasn't been to or heard of yet, so we have time to chat/hang out and get some yummy food in the process. This past week we went to a place called Cool Beans which is right across the street from campus (and they have the BEST fast food hamburgers EVER!). We went with one of my bestest friends in ADPi, and her <>. It was sooooo much fun! I have so much planned for her and so excited to be blessed with such a wonderful lil <>!
