Avon Breast Cancer Walk

Next weekend my chapter is going to NYC for the Avon Walk. These events happen in several locations around the country. Have any of you ever been to this annual fundraiser? Our group (about 10 of us) will be standing at the finishline cheering on the walkers. Should be fun!

Cool

That sounds like a lot of fun! Be sure and wear your letters...I wish that my land chapter could find a few niches to promote Beta...

Tomorrow's the day!! I'm so excited to make the trip to NYC. The director wants to meet our group, so we'll get some good PR for Beta Sigma Phi. The cause is so special and so worthwhile. I'm excited to be a part of it.

Pray for me

Hey ladies. I thought since you all were discussing the Breast Cancer walk I'd ask for your prayers. I went to the docter Wednesday and they found a mass on my breast. I had an ultra sound on it today, but I won't find out any thing until Monday. My docter says it's unlikely that it's cancer since I'm only 20 and it's hurting, but that doesn't give me much relief. My aunt had breast cancer last year. I'm just pray right now. So when you say your prays tonight say a little one for me.
Your Sister,
Teresa

Think positive thoughts

I am thinking positive thoughts and hope that all goes well...take care--I know easier said than done. Please let us know what you find out.

Teresa,

I hope that everything turns out okay. Know that your sisters are here for you.

(On a side note: one of my female APO brothers went through the same thing you are going through. She had several lumps in her breasts, and had a family history of breast cancer. Luckily, it turned out not to be cancerous.)

You are in our prayers!

Prayers are going up for you, Teresa. Take care of yourself. I'm glad that you getting this checked out right away. One of my online sisters was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, her cancer was caught early and her surgery was successful.

I have great news. The docter says everything looks fine. I'm going to try not drinking any caffine and see if that helps. they say that could be the cause of it. Thanks for all your prayers.
Teresa
