met the coolest GPhiB tonight

I'm a waitress and she came and sat in the bar tonight... wearing letters on her pullover. So I started up a conversation about sorority life and how more girls should join, and more sorority women should wear their letters.... and she told me a little about last year's convention here in DC and how she'd always wanted a lettered pullover and finally got one.

Then she left me a huge tip :D I love Gamma Phi Betas!

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-13-2003 12:28 AM

Thank You :D

I'm guessing you didn't ask her name??????

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-13-2003 12:34 PM

no, and she paid in cash so I couldn't be sneaky and read it. Like I did with the ADORABLE 28 year old who asked for my number. callmecallmecallme.

I can describe him -- er, I mean her. Focus. Gamma Phi Beta. Nice girl. That's better. Heh. I can describe the lovely GPhiB that came in. She had shoulder-length dark blonde hair, no glasses, was probably like 5'2'' or 3'', and she was probably like a size 8 or 10. VERY very nice girl. Maybe 27 or 28.

Add 6 years and that sounds like me...........lol

Nope, a name and I may have known her since I was also at convention.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-13-2003 08:59 PM

oh.

uh, how about the good looking 28 yr old guy?

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-13-2003 09:11 PM

Actually I was going to congratulate you on THAT one, but I didn't want to completely hijack the thread..............;)

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-13-2003 11:32 PM

hijack away! muhahaha....

seriously, SO adorable. 28 though. I'm 22. Too old? Thoughts?

I'll tell ya what though -- I've been through hell and back the last 3 years and I am SO ready for a guy who's a little more settled down than what I'm used to. And 28 w/ a steady job sounds just about right. Even if he was out w/ his 3 fraternity brothers on a Friday night. Just means he's not a player.... right?

Although I'll tell you what, I'm actually thinking he probably won't call. Yeah I spent the better part of 3 hours flirting madly, and after all the attention, I'd have to say they got the better end of the deal -- fantastic service on a busy Friday night. And 4 boys? Smells like "Yeaaaaah, got her number!" :: crumples & throws in trash :: "Where're we goin' next?"

ooooh so cute though. and so much potential... *sigh* callmecallmecallmecallme.....

RoseNWhiteLion says don't worry until 3 days later. I'm thinking more like Sunday, then move onto a new fantasy...

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-13-2003 11:34 PM

now I'm thinking about how beautiful he is.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-13-2003 11:39 PM

sidenote: if I hadn't recently moved back in w/ the 'rents in northern VA, I wouldn't be sitting at home on a Saturday night listening to Marvin Gay and imagining a complete stranger's proposal.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

GeekyPenguin 09-13-2003 11:48 PM

Maybe the cute guy decided he liked the cute Gamma Phi better. ;)

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-14-2003 12:06 AM

I think I left out the HUGE ROCK on the GPhiB's ring finger. So he could've... but goll I hope not!

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-14-2003 12:07 AM

but if she gets him, I think I should get the rock.

GeekyPenguin 09-14-2003 12:49 AM

It is only appropriate that my sisters have HUGE ROCKS but I agree you should get the rock if she gets him. ;)

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-14-2003 01:53 AM

Ok, a few points for you "youngsters" from this 33yo........

1) 28 and 22 is not a big age gap, I've dated guys 10 years older.
2) 28 is still a "player" no matter what they might say. Yes, I have a friend who is 28 and Mr I Hate Dating has become a total player lately.
3) At 22, you have absolutely NO reason to go for a settled guy anyway. BUT, a job is a necessity, take it from me.

:D

HotDamnImAPhiMu 09-14-2003 03:00 AM

's alright. He didn't call anyway.

The ex, however, did......
