Hurricane Isabel

Okay, I'm getting nervous now..

Hurricane Isabel is a CATEGORY 5 storm!!! 160 mph winds. And it's headed right towards Florida!

My next door neighbor says it's going to hit us (South Florida) & she's already gotten her supplies.

Wednesday is the estimated day.

I was supposed to drive up to Jacksonville next Friday for a christening....eeks, there's an even greater chance that Isabel will hit North FL, rather than South FL..http://smilies.networkessence.net/s/...1bluegreen.gif

I'm a Hurricane Andrew survivor, but what's different this time is that now I'm a homeowner! The day before Andrew hit, I was at Lollapalooza for about 14 hours...

As a survivor of two Central Pacific hurricans (though I was too young to really remember the first one, lol), I really hope that Isabel doesn't hit land.

I hope those in those areas you mentioned are prepared!

Good luck, everyone!

I have cousins who live in Daytona Beach and in Deland. I am worried for them since it they are in the affected area. The best thing is to be prepared for it. Good Luck! Be Prepared!

I hope Isabel doesn't hit land!

KDonline, I hope that you are safe and unaffected by Hurricane Isabel! :)

ZTAngel 09-12-2003 06:19 PM

I was in South Florida during Hurrican Andrew so I can definitely say that I've seen how scary they can be!

I'm stocked up on water, batteries, and food just in case. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't hit Florida!

Man I have never experienced a hurricane... my worst was a tropical storm, and that was scary enough for me! I hope all of you Floridians are okay, and I'll cross my fingers in hopes that it changes direction before it gets there!

P.S. Now I remember why I shouldn't move to Florida :(

the chances of it hitting miami are very slim. it is expected to miss florida completely. it looks to be heading to north carolina and virginia.

So were we! Oh, it was terrible - no hot showers, no AC (to the rest of you - ever been in Miami in AUGUST!?)...my skin broke out so badly! It was like I was 16 all over again - and I was 25!

I hope the Hurricane turns away from Florida & the rest of the Southern states.

PM_Mama00 09-14-2003 10:52 AM

My cousin just moved to Jacksonville from Cali last year. She braved tons of earthquakes, so hopefully if things change again, she can brave a hurricane.
