A Possible Howard Dean - Wesley Clark Ticket?

Gen. Clark Reportedly Is Asked to Join Dean

Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean has asked retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark to join his campaign, if the former NATO commander does not jump into the race himself next week, and the two men discussed the vice presidency at a weekend meeting in California, sources familiar with the discussions said.

Clark, in a telephone interview yesterday, said he did not want to comment about the private meeting. Asked about reports that the two men had discussed a wide range of issues, including endorsing Dean, joining the campaign, possible roles in a Dean administration and the vice presidency, he said only, "It was a complete tour of the horizon."

Dean-Clark has my vote in 2004

I've read about him, he would be a great addition to the race--a candidate with actual military experience!

Politics not your subject of choice?

Anyway, I think they would make for a great campaign team. The more I read about Dean the more I like the man. He's my top choice among the Democratic headliners.

Yeah true that. It's been forever that we've seen a politician be upfront with his views, and not try to word them so as not to offend any potential voters. That's how it should work, if you disagree with someone don't vote for them, and if you do then vote for them. Talking out of both sides of your mouth might save some voters that don't agree with you from voting against you, but at the same time you make it hard for people who would agree with you to vote for you, because they don't know for sure what your views are. I don't know Dean-Clark views on everything, but at least they seem honest enough to tell me their views and not try to apoligize or explain away issues like everyone else does.

I'm so excited to see a political candidate who speaks so candidly about their views. After reading the TIME article about Dean about a month ago, I've been on the "Dean Bandwagon". :)

I respect Howard Dean. He is one of the few liberals who is not afraid to admit what he is. Howard Dean is a liberal. That makes him wrong on the issues and wrong for America... FLAME AWAY... LOL!

moe.ron 09-12-2003 03:16 PM

it's too tempting, must not go to the dark side.
