Mu chapter Piano
 

Ok ladies, I know this may be an odd request but...

Mu chapter has an antique piano that needs restoring. We had an appraiser come in and tell us about the piano. It has the original bench and all parts are original to the piano. The person said if it were restored it would be worth approx. $18,000-21,000, in that range at least.

At any rate that is a lot !! and we would love to get this restored. The person is asking $7,000 to restore it. That is also a great deal.

We are making a plaque (sp?) for those who donate moneys. Those would donate $100 is a "key" donator, those who donate $500 is a "grand" sponsor.

Key for the keys in the piano, and grand because it is a baby grand. Any donation is welcome though!!

I can't help you with the project, but I do have an AGD piano story.

In 1973 (or 74), James Taylor played a concert at Ohio University. A Steinway was not available in the hall and Taylor insisted on a Steinway. Alpha Gam's Zeta Chapter happened to have a Steinway. They rented it to the University for the concert and used the income to redecorate their living room!
