Whos your most famous alum??

Doesnt have to be from your chapter, just from your GLO.
(this isnt to judge who has cooler alums, im just wonderin, and others may be too)

Id have to saw either Ted Koppel (ABC news anchor) or Bobby Bowden (Head Coach of Florida State Football)

:( i guess they are not all that famous since i think i need to explain who they are...

Jill1228 09-09-2003 03:13 PM

I love Nightline so you do NOT have to explain who Ted is to me! :D

Oh to answer the question...I would have to say Jeri Ryan. If you like Star Trek Voyager (my husband is addicted), you knew who Seven of Nine was. (or as my PERV husband describes her, 2 of 38s)

She is also on Boston Public

Edited for spelling...need coffee

hard to pick just ONE, but:

I think the most famous Alpha Phi Alpha is Martin Luther King, Jr. and the most famous Alpha Phi Omega is Bill Clinton.

There are, of course, many prominent Brothers of both orgs, but the question was for THE most famous. :)

AlphaSigOU 09-09-2003 06:29 PM

Famous Alpha Sigs:

Andrew Dickson White - first president of Cornell University. (Psi Upsilon also claims him as a famous alum, but back in the day Alpha Sigma Phi was a sophomore class society and Psi U. and Deke (Delta Kappa Epsilon) were junior class societies.)

Tom Watson - Golf professional.

Warren Buffett - Owner of Berkshire Hathaway.

Ross Swimmer (an alum of my chapter) - Past Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation.

Willard Scott - The original Ronald McDonald and later weatherman for the Today show.
