I'm interested too...

I've already emailed for membership info.

Do any of you know of any members of Alpha Delta Pi who are also members of Beta Sigma Phi? Can women be in both???

Thanks in advance for your help & info.

:D

Welcome to the Beta forum!
I don't know any ADPi Betas, but I know for a fact that you may be in both sisterhoods. I hope that you find a wonderful chapter soon! My chapter just had our first meeting of the year this afternoon, and I'm on a Beta Sigma Phi high right now:D Keep us updated on your search!

Thanks for the reply....

I appreciate the info. I had no idea that Beta Sigma Phi was even out there until I found it on GC last night. I'm eagerly awaiting a reply from HQ...I'll keep you updated.

Erica is a wealth of knowledge. Yes ya can be a member of both.

Is the Torch sent out every month? Due to the mixup in membership, I did not get mine :(

NPCs and Beta

Jen--

Yes, you can be in both sisterhoods as these ladies have told you. I am an AGD alum and joined Beta Sigma Phi last year and have been very pleased!! My GLO experiences have really complimented my Beta experience. The thing that impresses me the most about BSP is the genuine sisterhood among my sisters. These ladies really look on sorority membership as a priviledge and are so thankful to have a sorority and sisterhood as they did not have the opportunity to attend college, much less pledge a sorority.

There are also online chapter options with BSPas well as land chapters.

I am excited that you are interested.

Take care!!

Welcome Jen! I'm so pleased you are interested in Beta Sigma Phi. In my old chapter, we had a Delta Gamma and a Sigma Kappa, so I know there is no conflict with membership in an NPC sorority and Beta.

Let us know how things go for you!

The Torch comes out 10 times a year. The May/ June Torch is a combined issue, and there is no July issue. I've moved a couple of times since I joined Beta, and my Torch has some issues catching up to me, so I've missed a few too. :(

Thanks....

Thanks everyone for your support. I got an email reply from HQ and sent them my info. They said that chapters will get my info in about 30 days and after that I'd be contacted.

I can't wait!

How do you join BSP? Is it something you do after you graduate from college? I'm looking into doing it can anyone give me any more info?

Krista#78 09-15-2003 07:09 PM

Beta Sigma Phi is an international women's organization open to all women ages 18+. It's something that any woman can do, not just for during or after college! (Sorry, that was my favorite part about becoming a BSP, the variety of people that I would be able to meet after I graduate college and have the opportunity to remain in such an amazing organization for the rest of my life...I can't even believe the number of sisters that I've met online here at GC!) A few of us on greekchat belong to collegiate chapters of Beta Sigma Phi, some belong to online chapters as well as traditional land chapters.

The best place that I know of to find out more about BSP is through international's website http://www.betasigmaphi.org There, you can find out more about BSP's history and some neat other things. One of the ways you can contact international to get more information about joining and the sorority itself is by emailing: membership@betasigmaphi.org

I hope this answers at least some of your questions, the board is a little slow right now but we always love to have prospective sisters join us and help them out in any way possible.

Best Of Luck!!
Krista
