Half.com

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone uses Half.com to sell/buy books. It's great! I've already sold 4 out of 15 books on there in less than a month.

Anyways, for those who do use it. In my sales management, it shows that someone had checked it out, but cancelled. Well that book is not showing up in my inventory. Is there something I'm supposed to do? I need to edit that book so hopefully I can figure it out!

I used it when I was in school. I saved a lot of money on books I needed, and sometimes made money on books I no longer needed. I've also sold a lot of CD's on there too.

I've sold two textbooks on Half.com without much trouble. I've never encountered the problem you have, though, PM_Mama...try e-mailing the tech support people (or whatever it is they call them).

I do have a question, though. Whenever I've made a sale, the instructions said to send the book via "media mail." Well, what in the sam hill is this "media mail?" I wasn't sure, so I just used UPS since I figured that was a pretty safe bet.

You can use Media Mail through the post office. It's a whole lot cheaper than 1st Class. You just give them the package and say you want it shipped Media Mail. My books usually cost less than $2. But, it does take longer to have them delivered. Most people using half.com understand this.

I LOVE Media Mail. I go to school far away from home, and if I want to ship my books after the end of the semester, I just do it media mail--it's a lot cheaper, and since I'm not worried about when they'll arrive, it's really nice. From RI to FL, it usually took about 5 days, when 1st class took 3 and Priority took 2. But, UPS is also really inexpensive (I shipped a TV for 12 dollars!) and has a guaranteed delivery date if you have it picked up from your house.
