question about signing bids

hey y'all! ok, I'm in the midst of recruitment and in a bit of a panic. For the upcoming round we can go to up to 5 houses, and I only have 2. One, I love and the other I will not join (no, I'm not close minded, I just know what can happen when you pledge a house you are not comfortable with) Anyways, jumping the gun a bit, IF I get invited to both for pref...can I put the house that I like as my first choice and a house other than the other one I preffed as my number 2 choice even though I was previously cut from it? That way I'm not "suiciding" I know it sounds crazy...but I've heard that people do this and was wondering if it is allowed?

I would think it depends on the panhellenic. We always allowed girls to put down groups in order of preference on the bid card, even if they did not attend a particular groups pref. From what I've seen on the boards, it really depends on the school though.

BeachGal, Talk to your Recruitment Counselor. She will be able to assist you in the best way, as she is a trained expert regarding YOUR university's recruitment. If she does not know, she will find the answer. A lot of our schools among the GC'ers do this differently, and we want you to have the information most applicable to you. The rankings you place are matched up on a computer system, and not all schools use the same computer program. So please talk to your Counselor! Good luck!

I would talk to your recruitment counselor, but I've never worked with a school where you this was not allowed. AND, it's a good idea if you want to be snap bidded or COB.
