Latin Grammy's
 

I am not sure how many of you are into Latin Music, but the Latin Grammy's are on right now on CBS. Kelly Clarkson just gave an outstanding performance along with Brazilian artist Alexandre Pires. The majority of the show is in English, so not to worry you non-Spanish speakers. :p If anyone else is watching, I want to know!! :D

OMG. I just saw Jennifer Peña. She and my sister were best friends back in the day, shortly before she became famous. It's just weird seeing someone who was once a very close family friend on the Grammy's. When I see her, she still says hi and asks about the family. This is just weird.

For those who don't know, Jennifer achieved fame as a Tejano star and is now trying to do Spanish Pop.

The Celia Cruz tribute is still giving me goosebumps. I wish I taped it!

I watched it on and off. I was also impressed by the tribute...and I'm glad the Dr. Pepper commercials had the "in loving memory" tag on the end.

I'm also glad that more Spanish artists are being spotlighted. I remember the first couple of years it seemed like every award went to Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, and Chistina Aguilera...all the American known nominees. It's getting better now.
