Have any of the rest of you updated your entry in the new directory that's coming out? If not, you need to do so, I think the time is almost up! :)

While I'm on the topic, is anyone else a little surprised at how much the directory is going to cost?? It ends up being about $89!!! I'm still just a poor student and that's not exactly in my budget! I know I saw a post over on the Zeta Tau Alpha board though where there's was around $80 too I think. Seems like a little much to me.

Wow!!! I got my card in the mail to update. Don't know that I'll be getting the book if the cost is that outrageous!!!

What's this book? I've never heard of it, maybe I'm just out of the loop.

What it is
 

Every 4 years or so IHQ has a directory of ALL Alumnae put together. Its sorted by chapter, citry/state, career field, etc. Basically it is a way for you to look up the addresses or sisters in your area, pledge class. It is rather interesting to look up and see who are sisters in your town, but I agree that $89 IS rather pricey. . . .

I bought the 1st one after I went alum, but gosh that's pricey. I haven't called in yet, is there a soft-bound version available?

This year there's a paper copy and a CD version for the computer. They're both $89 though. You can order it now and pay half now and half in April when its finished. I really wanted one, but I don't want to spend that kind of money.

The soft-bound version is $69. I got this one. My highschool and university both use Harris publishing, and they do a great job. However, they are pricey. I would suggest getting the $69 dollar one if you want one.

I haven't purchased one to date (I've been alum for 8 years), but I am buying one this time around. I didn't need it when I first graduated, but it would have been helpful in networking!

Maybe as a senior gift, get togther with some other senior sisters and buy it together and share the CD (idea!).

FYI - They are selling the CD & hard cover as a bundle for $120.

Can someone tell me how to find the information about purchasing the directory? I looked at the website and didn't see anything that mentioned the new directory or how to get one. Any information would be great! Thanks!

hmm i havent heard anything about this, is it only for alum??

It is a alumnae directory, so they tend to only contact alumnae.

The initial info request came out early in the year like January, so if you have recently graduated, you wou'ldn't be on their contact list :)

But no fear (horns play....), just email HQ at aoiihq@alphaomicronpi.org , let them know that you w ould like to be in touch with harris to give information / order. They should be able to give you the correct info.
