For New Alums: What do you miss the most?
 

OK, I'm a new alum, and I really miss hanging out with all of my sisters. I went to our Bid Day Party, and I only knew like 20 girls out of over 70, and most of them are much younger than I am. I also actually miss chapter e-mails that kept us all up to date, even though they annoyed me like mad when I was active because we get like 50 a day.

So what do all of you miss?

I just miss the day to day...having someone around to give you a smile and a hug. And jsut having my friends around me all day. I have friends now out of college, of course...but it's not the same. I miss just being able to walk into the lunchroom and seeing 15 faces I know. And I miss being able to walk into the house and chilling with my girls. That kind of everyday stuff.

I also miss the news emails, keeping everyone up to date.

And I REALLY miss being able to wear my letters and my pin!!!

well, i am not that new of an alum, but i am not that old of an alum either...lol. i really miss having all of my friends within walking distance. i miss being able to meet up with 15 friends for dinner at any time! now we are all scattered everywhere, although most are still in pa...and we get together so infrequently, but we are still great friends....and they are still my sisters! of course now when we get together, we don't discuss how drunk we were the night before or how late we stayed up studying. instead we talk about mortgages, kids, weddings....oy...

i miss living in the house and eating sleeping watching tv with my sisters.....the constant togetherness....now that we're all alum we can't see each other as often because we live all over campus and it's almost impossible to get everyone in the same place at the same time
