Opinions please!

I am going to order a lettered shirt, but I don't know what kind to get? I found several cute patterns for the letters, but I can't decide on the color of the shirt.

What do y'all think?

Thank you in advance! :)

cluey-
are you talking t-shirt or sweatshirt?
white really stands out with bright coloured letters.
what are your options?

GeekyPenguin 09-01-2003 06:15 PM

Awww Cluey are these your first letters? ;)

I really like pink on navy - I was looking at websites and the Alabama chapter has pink gingham letters on navy jerseys - really cute!

I'd suggest anything BUT white. God only knows how many white shirts I have.

I got some letters a couple of years ago and the shirt is bright yellow with letters that are red and a bunch of other bright colors.

But, a better question would be what looks good on you?

in IIKE,
Melanie

Well, everything! ;) :p

Kidding, of course!

I don't want white just because I have too many white shirts. I do want something that will go with khakis or jeans, though.

Yes, Kath, this will be my first lettered shirt. I saw Bama's pictures and I thought they looked really cute, too! I was just looking for some ideas :)

Do you know what patterns you are looking at yet? that would help to decide on a shirt color!

Well, I was surfing around greek101.com. I really wish I could see a preview, though. You can get a preview with certain color shirts, but not with others.

Here's what I would like....

Pattern #277 letters
white border around the letters
a pink shirt that would match with #277

I guess the question is, which pink do you think would go best with that pattern?

Do you see any other cute pink print for the letters?

I don't have many pink shirts, so I guess that's why I am drawn to those... :)

What do y'all think?

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-02-2003 10:27 PM

Un momento..............

I will take a looksee. LOL

GeekyPenguin 09-02-2003 10:37 PM

Oooh that pattern is cute!

I think either the heleconica (sp?) or azalea would look good with that - I actually have shirts in both of those colors. The Heleconica is a very bright flamboyant pink (think Barbie) where the azalea is a bright pink, but not that bright.

Ok, you asked for an opinion.

I found what I think is a better print (the gheckos are really cute). # 863 with white around the letters and then heliconia or azalea shirt. These might be too bright of pink for you so here's another one (with gheckos but a slightly different shading). #862 might look good with the pale pink shirt.

The website is a pain to try to look at. I have DSL and it was still taking a while to get the garment/letter colors to come up.

Have you looked at this site? This is where I've bought both of mine recently.

BUT, I think it's a "just got a bid" thing. It's SLOW too.

But yes, the pattern you picked is cute, just not too my style.

Ok, the snoopy ones are REALLY cute.

Kathleen, did you notice the Milwaukee Brewer pattern?

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-02-2003 10:50 PM

OH MY GOD

They have TIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just might need another set of letters..............LOL

He is my favorite.

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-02-2003 11:09 PM

Ok, I controlled myself and shut down the website without buying anything.............

I think I hear a big sigh from my VISA.

If I'm going to be desiring new letters, I might as well cause someone else to join me.....................:p :D

They are down at the bottom of the list. No M's unfortunately (or fortunately......);)
