Convention 2005.....
is being held in Phoenix. My alumna president confirmed this information tonight. I'm so excited. I don't have to pay for airfare or even a hotel room. So now I am encouraging everyone to start saving up now and come to Phoenix for convention. I would especially love to meet some of my fellow gcr's.
I totally had a feeling convention would be on the west coast in 2005 so I'm so psyched that it is here. Woo hoo!!!!!! Brianna |
I SOOOO want to go...now it depends on when my diamond sister is getting married!:)
|
Convention is always late June, so tell her not to get married then. LOL. Oh, you can tell her that summer weddings are typically more expensive.LOL. (I've spent way too much time reading bridal magazines)

Well, she's getting married in New York, and this came up before I knew where convention would be....we made a deal to go to convention together in 2007 (she was supposed to go this year), but maybe I can convince her to go in '05 :)
|
You should totally try. LOL. I mean it is hot here in June, but heh you'll walk away with an awesome tan. LOL.
So there you go girls. That is your encouragement to come to Phoenix for 2005 convention, meet other sisters and get a great tan!!!!! Brianna |
Nah....if they wanted a great tan, they should have held convention here in San Diego! :D You can't beat our wonderful beaches as a way to tan and stay "cool" (figuratively speaking)
|
Hey since I'll be in Los Angeles maybe I'll be able to swing by as well, it would be cool to see the new Eta Beta president there and maybe meet GCers like you said. And if its at the end of June, it'll be after I graduate with my masters so maybe I can swing it as a graduation gift ;).
And polarpi I have to agree with you about san diego beaches...I'm still jealous that you live there!! Lets just hope I get down there myself in 2 yrs!! |
YaY 4 convention!!!
I wasn't able to attend our most recent convention b/c I was low on funds, but I am sure it was wonderful :) This is probably a silly question, but by June 2005 I will be alum, so is it OK for alumnae to attend conventions too? Hopefully by then I will also be affiliated with a local alumnae group because I definately want to stay as involved as I can :) |
convention is for everyone. Collegiates, alumnas. they usually have a chapter reunion. You should try to come. I'm an alumna and it will be my first convention.

I am so looking forward to convention being in phoenix...I will be done and graduated by then, so probably not living in arizona anymore...but I have so many sisters who live in the valley I could easily find a place to stay...Since well I think it will be a bit too expensive for me to actually stay whereever, as it will be my first year of being married and going towards my phd, atleast I hope (crosses fingers)....

One of these days...!!! |
honeychile,
I feel ya. I really wanted to go to the 150th, but money didn't work out. This summer I also couldn't afford A) the price B) I was already going to California with my sister Amy (sorority sister). I am so psyched that it will be held here in Arizona. I don't even know if I will be living here in 2005 (here's to hoping though, cause I really don't want to go to graduate school on the east coast). Woo hoo. Everyone get psyched. I love it I'm all excited for a convention that is two years away. Brianna |
