MY Last, First Day of School
 

Well the day finally arrived and so did 6 30 am...way too quickly. So here it is VERY EARLY in the morning and I'm listening to the radio while I get ready for work. The two morning DJ's were talking about the FIRST DAY OF CLASS for us poor college students. And so therefore, they're running a contest of sorts (I wasn't quite clear on what happens) but basically students here have to email them with the subject BUY MY BOOKS. Who ever they pick gets their books, up to $500, paid for!!!!!!!!!!

So I did it. I hope the appreciated my sense of humor at 6 45 in the morning but I basically did a TOP TEN REASONS (like David Letterman's).

10. Because it's 6:45am and I got three hours of sleep and will be a walking zombie for the rest of the semester
9. Because I'm cute (hey it's worth a try)
8. Because I cut up all my credit cards (but see #7)
7. I did however take 12 CREDIT hours this summer
6. And NO, the University didn't even buy back the brand new $80 HEALTHFUL LIVING BOOK...and gave me like $50 for the other four books I bought.
5. I'm still tired
4. Rent is due
3. I didn't even buy a parking permit so I'm already going to get a $25 parking ticket
2. I'm not too proud to beg
1. I'M A SENIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, yeah, I hope I win cuz that'd be swell!

Well not that anyone cares but I didn't win :( I was driving to school while the DJ's were announcing how they were going to choose who got the free text books. They said that there were so many entries it was hard to pick just one considering everyone has a valid reason as to why they should get free text books. So they decided to put all the letters of the alphabet into a hat, draw, and then whatever letter was drawn would be associated to each person's address (the first letter of the first word in their address). And guess what...they picked Z and there was only ONE person with a "Z" word in their address.
