Transfer Students
 

There has been a similar question to the one I am posting. I am a transfer student and at my school I was told that Rush is for only serious applicants. I am a serious appliciant but I am not eligible to submit this semester. Should I clarify with a memberof Alpha Kappa Alpha to be on the safe side? Also, for any of the ladies who lived off-campus and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, was it harder for you to pledge? Thanks in Advance

I can answer the transfer student question. I am also a transfer student and I was encouraged by several members to go to Rush. It's a good opportunity to meet with the other members of the chapter and other prospective members. I was also told to try extra hard to get to know the prospective members submitting this semester because they are going to be voting next year when I apply. Hope I helped. God Bless.

Thank you!!!! That actually did help. I did attend an informational and the graduate advisor stated that we (black women) should always speak to one another and work together and now I do find it that all the ladies who did attend the informational we all speak to one another. I hope that it will make it easier for me to get to know the ladies who will sumbit this fall if they have a Rush. Once again thank you
