Fun questions to ask potential new members during reqruitment
 

Does anyone have any good questions to ask some of the girls going through reqruitment? Because I know when I went through I was tired of people asking me my major etc. So I'm trying to come up with some creative ones. Any suggestions?

things to cover: major, where they're from, why do they want to join a sorority. what do they want to get out of being in a sorority, who's their role model and why...umm...that's all i can think of for now. how you work those into a conversation, i have NO clue. it's hard at my chapter b/c recruitment is right after spring break, so we know a lot of the PNM already...prob. a very different atmosphere than at other schools where they do a fall recruitment.

Our girls like to ask them "If you were a flavor of ice cream, what flavor would you be?" It's something silly (you'd have to judge the girl to see if she would find it interesting). I like to ask them if they have a favorite cartoon character and which one is it? We hate asking them the same questions over and over, so we try to come up with something they haven't been asked from the other sororities.

I think that those types of questions (major, how are you enjoying school, where are you from etc.) are for conversation starters...but the PNM's get so tired of them...our girls are working on asking DIFFERENT questions to start conversation. Example: The PNM's have to wait outside int he TX heat before they can come in so some girls ask...Man is it hot out there? It must feel great to finallybe inside. Or something that is different that will get them to relax...that they havent been asked a million times already.
