I can't seem to fiure out how to make that a link, if someone could help me that would be great! It is an article about the UNiversity of Pennsylvania chapter that closed last year with all of those girls disaffiliating. If anyone is interested... |
When I was at LTS it definitely sounded like we're are going to recolonize back there sometime this year. I got the feeling earlier then sooner but we'll have to see what happens.
I know they had requests out for advisory board members for Nu chapter on the last listing of volunteer opportunities they sent this week. Carolyn |
do we still own the house?
the reason i'm asking is will sigma kappa have to leave if we return to the campus it's funny but how they think that having a house will bring sisterhood and unity a house guarantees nothing but bills and troubles filling it but i wonder why the paper made it sound like the chapter was fueding low membership can happen for a variety of reasons |
Nu chapter will be recolonized this year. The recolonization process will culminate in the spring of 2004.
Yes, we still own the house. I imagine Sigma Kappa is using this year as an intermediate time to explore other housing options. Housing is an important factor at Penn because all of the sororities are housed. It does bring sisterhood and unity in the sense that it is a unified place where chapter events happen, and it is almost a requirement to stay competitive on Penn's campus. I'll post updates as I hear them! |
I"m glad to hear they are bringing back that chapter... :) I remember when all of this was going down... it actually brought some drama to Greek Chat as well as the U Penn Greek Community......

Does anyone know when Penn recruitment is? It was supposed to be Springtime, have they gotten any dates yet?

I asked PiRepresent about our Penn. Chapter and she told me they will be recolonizing and have women interested so I think it's going pretty well at the moment...

Nu Reinstalled this weekend
Just to let you girls know,
Nu chapter was officially reinstalled and the founding sisters were initiated this weekend. The founding class was comprised of about 60 or 70 women (I forget how many), and the new sisters plan on pinning additional women in the fall and plan on entering the University of Pennsylvania's spring recruitment at total!! The successful recolonization is a great milestone for Phi Sigma Sigma and I know everyone is so happy to have our Nu chapter back. |
WHOOO HOOOO!!! Yeah for Phi Sig!!!
