Does anyone know how to log out, everytime i press log out it says all cookies cleared click here to go back to forums and then i click back and im still signed in.

This was happening to me too...

I've had the same problem. It makes it very difficult for me to log out and then log in again to post as the Grapist.

I have had this problem before too. i think the greekchat cookie goes bad sometimes. What you have to do is clear out your cookies and you should be able to logout .

I don't run that forum, it's perfectly well run already, no-one has to promise *me* anything. The post "Announcement: Updated: Chit Chat Forum Guidelines" at the top of the page explains everything to make it a pleasant fun place to be. It has occurred that I've felt I'm being 'verbally' attacked so I've responded sure, but as for your comment I have no thoughts bar a general vague opinion I think people being nice is good. Courtesy costs nothing.

Anyway... Energizer420, I wouldn't bother posting in the hijacked GreekChat bug thread mentioned, it's got too way off topic to give a second thought to. Re your question, I shall try to help as I do with other questions (since LOTS of people have given me LOTS of help over the months and I always want to give back!). Firstly, - as an aside - I believe it happens because when you log in to www.greekchat.com, it stores a cookie (yum :D) so you stay logged in. When you logout it says cookies deleted so why are they still there resulting in it not logging you out properly? Well... you may have seen it sometimes says in your web browser address-bar www.greekchat.com and SOMETIMES forums.greekchat.com :) So essentially when you logout while on a www.greekchat.com page you are still logged in sorta because there is a non-deleted cookie for the forums.greekchat.com pages you visited. Quirky :).

Well to answer your question:
The quick and dirty "workaround" I use for now is:
If the problem crops up (you think you've logged out & return to the forum index page but're still in the logged on users list) From that "GreekChat.com Forums" index page, down at the bottom of that page you see the Login name & password bit, well login. (logout first if it says logout) Yep login again :).
And then, finally, logout again from that "GreekChat.com Forums" page it returns you to, via the "Log out" option now available there at the bottom of that page. It should then have fully logged you out and removed you from the signed in members list. So basically it's just log in and out from that page (after having logged out once) when the problem does come up. That ensures the cookies file stored from the pages that have www.greekchat.com and also the file for the forums.greekchat.com pages get deleted.
That's from memory, please do post if it doesn't work and I'll double check what it is I do and edit this post with any corrections. I don't know if that's the most efficient way of doing things but that's what I do. Hope it is helpful.
