Waiting
I recently attended my schools Rush, where cost, time, or any details were not discussed. All that was said was if you made line we sill contact you in a "timely manner". I am prepeared to wait as long as possible of course, but does anyone have any advice on how not to crack up while waiting, and how long can a "timely manner" extend too. I feel like I will burst with curiosity!

All I can tell you is now you have done you're part. You have attended, turned in your materials, etc.etc. What is done is done.
Now, you should "try" to focus on your academics. That is the reason why you are in college. At least I hope so! I cannot tell you how long is a "timely matter". All you can do now is calm down, go to class, work, whatever...and let the chips fall when and where they may.... *******GOOD LUCK TO ALL SFs IN THEIR QUEST TO ENTER THE LAND OF GREEKDOM!!!!!***** |
AKA2D'91, I was a little surpised at Wonderful's post. I didn't know Rush was held so soon...the school year just began! My school actually started last Thursday...Is Rush usually held shortly after school starts or does it depend on the chapter? I sure hope it depends on the chapter..if not I guess the chapter at my school is not planning a line this semester

YEAH, MOCHA...
I KNOW OF SCHOOLS THAT HOLD THEIR RUSH THE FIRST WEEKEND AFTER SCHOOL HAS STARTED. THERE IS NO SET TIME WHEN THE RUSH CAN BE HELD. IT IS DONE ON A CHAPTER BASIS. I REMEMBER MINE WAS HELD IN SEPTEMBER, WE STARTED LIKE THE THIRD WEEK IN AUGUST. I,TOO WAS SURPRISED AT THE TOPIC... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif |
Thanks for the best wishes, AKA2D '91 http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
Wonderful, I could imagine that waiting for that time to arrive can be nerve racking but pray that the "chips fall your way". Best of luck! ---------- Maria |
Wonderful, I know you must feel like you're on pins and needles but remember you may be one step closer to reaching your dream. It's in God's hands and I'm sure they'll see just how "Wonderful" you really are!
Good luck fellow sisterfriend! Ex |
Thanks for the luck AKA2D'91! I can relate to the feeling of nervousness.
I know that being given the chance and opportunity to pledge is something that I really want and I know how hard it is to be patient and await the outcome. But patience is necessary and it does help to concentrate on school and work. I find that if I temporarily put my focus onto something else, my nervousness goes away. Good luck! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
