Non-Panhel
 

Is there anyone that is interested in joining a non-panhel
sorority out there? I would love to hear about people trying to find their future "home" in a sorority that might not be panhel. Is anyone going to a NPHC or MGC open house or informational? If so, tell us about it :D

Actually, there is a currently a woman who rushed a *long* time ago and didn't get into to the NPC group on her campus. She began a multi-cultural group and now they are trying to colonize as Theta Nu Xi! That thread is here

But I do think it would be really cool to have an NPHC or multicultural rushee on GC! Although my impression is that NPHC prefers their membership selection process to not be discussed on GC.

I've actually been trying to keep up with that group but ever since they decided to go with Theta Nu Xi, I haven't really heard many updates. Has anyone heard any updates about them? I believe their name is Nu Beta Omicron now.

Yup, Corina last posted to that thread about 2 wks ago... NBO completed their interest packet and sent it off to TNX, but they were still waiting for a response at the last update.

I like reading the rush forum also. But one thing is you won't hear from prospectives looking to rush NPHC's because our process is not the same as NPC's. You know, our'(NPHC in general) is no one knows publicly until you come out on line. Just an FYI

Maybe I wasn't clear as to what I was asking to hear about. I wouldn't want people who are interested in the NPHC to say "I'm interested in being a ABC and these are the steps that I'm taking to do it..." Ummm... no, so if anyone that is interested in NPHC... please don't do that. I just wanted hear about some of the events that is going on around campus such as Open Houses, welcome week events or b-b-ques that some interest women are going to. I was just interested in why some women are interested in going non-panhel... You definitely shouldn't say which organization you are looking into, but I would like to hear some general reasons as to why people are looking into non-panhel groups. So basically, the whole reason why I posted this thread is because I can't relate to all of these rush stories and I would like to hear something that I can relate too...

Now that I think about it... Just forget about the NPHC part... I don't want anyone to say something stupid that is going to mess up their chances of being apart of the NPHC. But I would still like to hear about any non-traditional sorority interest out there...

Why are you looking outside of panhel?
