Today's the first round of formal recruitment at Universtity of Toledo. I'm super excited! **dances the happy rush dance** I can't wait for four to roll around and start meeting the girls.

To any lukers out there, I'm the first person inside the door of the Alpha Xi Delta house.

Parties are about a half an hour longand are "casual" open houses.

We had 54 girls signed up before move in started and we really won't know how many b/c thy sign up all day today and some will even join tommorrow.

Dear lord. I just got off the phone with my roomie and she was finishing moving some stuff from her old apartment last night. Needless to say there was a half dozen girls signed up for recruitment there partying with her old roommates.

To all PNMs drinking during recruitment NOT A GOOD IDEA because whether you realize it or not you may be seen. The last thing you want is to be a drunken baffon in front of chapters on the eve of recruitment!

And as much as she and the girl who was helping her (who btw is in another house here) may want to forgive and forget it's hard to when you behave like these girls were!

I'm being picky here....it's spelled Omicron.:)

I was like a little kid on Christmas Eve last night... it took me forever to go to sleep.

Our theme for the first party is "Why go to a fiesta when you can go to a Xiesta?"

We have all kinds of festive decorations. Our girls are wearing knee lenght jean skirts with white flip-flops and we have a dark redish-pink colored shirt with glittery green chilies on the front and the theme slogan on the back. It's hard to describe but it's super cute.

Oooh so I'm excited **dances the recruitment dance again** Can it be four already??

In the land of formal recruitment things not very are good. We only had 86 girls enter recruitment. 25 droped out completely the first day. Cuts were beyond harsh because of grade (the only reason we can cutr on the first day according to our panhel standards).

Today's philanthrophy day. The PNMs will be making picture frame kits for a local hospitals childrens floor.

We're also doing house tours.

Our girls are wearing royal blue scrub pants with our letters down the leg and a white shirt with royal blue around the neck and sleves. I'd tell you what the shirt says but I'm wearing mine and it's on the back.

I'm hoping some more girls join recruitment today....

ANd not to be picky too, but it's Pi Beta Phi... I should know, not only am I a Pi Phi but I'm also a fellow Rocket!! (I was there pre-Greek Village when we had the suites over on Central Ave and had only 5 groups)
