Movies and books
I am a huge movie and book buff...more books if you haven't noticed my signature. I'm just hoping lots of things will come out of this thread. Hee hee.
I saw Seabiscuit last weekend and I loved the storyline but I swear that I had no patience. It took so long for the storyline to develop and how all the people were connected somehow. Then they kept prolonging the story but my friend made me see the light about that. 28 Days was a real bust. I heard it was the scariest movie ever, even scarier than The Ring. Then I found out through advertisements that I should have stayed out til after the credits rolled or something. I have mixed feelings about The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I wanted to see the movie more because all the characters were based on literary characters. So being the crazy bookworm that I am, I decided to check out all the books that were in the movie. The plot was quite interesting and I loved it but it lacked a little something. |

No I never read that book. I guess I should huh? I"m so like that. If I know a movie is based on a book, I'll usually go ahead and read the book before I go see the movie or reread the book. I'll have to do that for Lord of the Rings 3 before it comes out...also the same goes for Harry Potter 3: Prisoner of Azkaban.
I just recently finished reading Clive Cussler's Valhalla Rising. It was pretty good. I never expected the main character to be quite knowledgeable in knowing how to rescue people. He's like MacGyver (err spell check!). I am currently in the midst of reading Otherland by Tad Williams. |
