Committee Descriptions (for recruitment)
 

I want to list on the wall for recruitment an explanation of oue committees, like for social write something like "With socials we are able interact with other greek organizations and have hours of fun" or something like that, but the problem is I dunno what all the committes are about and what to write for them, so if I can please get help on what to say that would be great! Also, what facts might I want to include on the walls for recruitment?

well, we combined our sisterhood, fraternity relations, sunshine into one committee called "spirit"

are you just looking for things to represent each committee?

Well each chapter does their committees differently ... so I would suggest contacting the chair of each one and asking wht they do/feel their committee stirves to acheive. I know my chapter has

Scholarship: Is entrusted with keeping sister's GPA's up to standard and rewarding those who aim high and do well academmically... usually involves enforcing the scholarship improvement program and giving out scholarship pearls to those who did well the semester before or finding other ways to encourage doing well in class.

Alumnae/historian... keeps a scrap book of the year, sends out alum/parent newsletter, plans sapphire ball, parents event

sisterhood/social... plans all sisterhood and social events

philanthropy cordinates all philanthropy events and makes sure our donation gets into national

we also give our MOC and MRC a committee since their jobs require team work to do everything.

Fundraising plans all fundraising events for the chapter.

That's the only ones we have... if your chapter has more you should definitely talk to the chair of the committee or your Vice Archon to find out what they do for your chapter.

Oh Lindsay! That is a great idea. Is that for ur night of recruitment?!? Good stuff to fill the walls and gives them info! NAyways...
PR- to keep good relations with other Greek Letter organizations and with the community as well. Making sure that we send out a positive image and get our name out and about!

Nicole - lol you're so cute, thanks yea it's to fill the wall, and I think I am going to put a list of some examples of events we hold. I was looking at how tall the walls were when we were at the meeting, and oh boy...we got a lot of room to fill! lol

This is kinda different then what you want to do but...

Our Vice Archon is making a really cute poster this year about our committees and our committee heads.

She is going to list each comittee we have.
For my Chapter we have

Public Relations
Fundraising
Risk Management
Paren'ts Club
Alumnae
Insignia
Campus Relations
*I might be forgetting one*

and then our vice archon is going to write one or two sentences to explain the committee and then she is going to post a cute picture of each committee head next to their position.

We thought it would add a personal touch to our info.
