All six chapters made quota! Bringing the chapter totals between 190-225!!! KD, XO, DG, Phi Mu, Tri Delta, Zeta AOPi participated in the first round (two days of water parties) and will start recruitment events in a few weeks after school starts! |

I spoke to my cousin at Ole Miss this afternoon... Six of her dear friends just finished rush at MS State... Three went XO, 2 went Phi Mu and one went DG!!!! Thought that would be a fun rush update for all!!!
|
That is so great. I hope that each girl always loves her new home just as much as she does today (if not more)

I know this will be a stupid question; however I will ask anyway.
When people say "Ole Miss" they are refering to ...... and when they say she is going to "state" they are refering to...... |
Okay then I am in the right place. My friend's boss has a daughter who went through at state and we think was dropped by all by the third day. Is this possible? I think she may have just dropped out. How competitive is it there? Do you take resumes? Is rushing as a sophomore possible? I just can't believe that she was dropped by all.
|
This may not be the answer you want, because honestly there's just no way to know why someone was dropped. It could be lots of things--class standing and GPA could play into it, lack of recs could play into it--especially if she didn't have any, maybe for some reason she didn't connect with the chapters at MSU during recruitment parties. She also may have decided that sorority life wasn't for her and withdrew instead of being dropped. I wish I could just say, "Oh, this is why..." but it would only be speculation and not fact. I hope she's dealing well with whatever may have happened in her recruitment.
If she's still interested in sorority life, then she may wish to check with the Greek Advisor or her Recruitment Counselor and ask if any chapters are having COR events (but I don't know how many MSU chapters have open spots after formal recruitment, if any.) Also, there is the AOII colonization at MSU this fall she could look into. Christin |
