Tri Delta on HGTV!
 

So I watched the show Designer's Challenge tonight on HGTV. That's the one that has a space and three designers present their ideas and one gets chosen. Well, tonight was the remodel of the President's room at a Delta Delta Delta house. I didn't see the beginning, so I don't know where exactly it was. They didn't have southern accents, and I think I saw a sign with a 310 area code - is that Califronia?

Anyway, it was really beautiful when it was done. Although I preferred the design of the 2nd woman, who incorporated DDD's colors! I'm sure it will be on more in the coming week. It's their "Back to School" week.

And to hijack my own thread, I also noticed the host of While You Were Out was wearing a necklace with an anchor charm tonight. Now, obviously anyone can buy one, but I just thought maybe she is a DG? Anyone know?

310 is probably ucla or usc

On a similar note, the other night on "Curb Appeal", another HGTV show, the front/patio/yard of the Pike house at USC was redone. I think it'd be fair to guess that both shows may have been taped at the same time, in one trip to USC.

I am a dork who watches too much HGTV and TLC...

If it was a 310 area code, then the school was probably UCLA or Pepperdine. USC is near downtown Los Angeles in the 213 area code. I hope they re-run the episode soon. :)

Pepperdine doesn't have houses, does it?

That's so cool though -- I hope they show it again so I can see it.

Ya know what, I noticed that too and was wondering that also.

I always watch HGTV but somehow I never seem to catch the sorority themed shows :(

IT WAS MY HOUSE... Delta Delta Delta at UCLA!

Yup, my house was on Designers Challenge last night! I was on vacation with some Tridelts and we watched it randomly ( they hadn't told us when it was going to air) and we were so excited!It supposedly looks really nice but in actuality, the room is so small that you have to move the bed to open the wardrobe all the way. Also, it really sucked because it was filmed during finals week so everyone looks wretched in the clips showing some of the sisters around the house because half of us barely got out of our p.j.s all week! But all in all, it was a great experience for the house and now our housing corporation (which is owned by our alumni) is thinking about redoing the whole house in the same fashion. Thank God because it needs it but I unfortunately will not be there to enjoy it! Ahh, the sadness of being a new alum!
