Okay, so I'm a first-time Resident Assistant at Beloit College, and I have my very first floor meeting tomorrow night. I'm so nervous!!!! Wish me luck!

Funny, I actually remember my first floor section meeting as a brand new freshman in 1965.

The RA's first name was Dean, and we all got a big charge when he introduced himself as "Dean Whomever."

Veemers, I'm sure you'll be brilliant. Just think through what you're going to say beforehand -- and be yourself.

Good luck!!! I think it would have been fun to be an R.A. or one of those people who helped out with Freshmen Orientation. I remember my freshman year R.A.-- he reminded me of Noel from Felicity... I had a little crush on him, but it wore off after the first month.

My R.A. was a dud. He was also my pledge dad. Oops, shoulda made a better choice :)

Good luck from another Wisconsinite! (I go to UW-Madison.) I'm sure you'll do fine.

On a side note, I almost went to Beloit College. :)
