Voting on PNM's
 

I was just wondering how other chapters conduct their bid votes. I am not sure if we use the most effective method of deciding who gets a bid.

New member selection is a highly confidential process, and each NPC has its own unique methods of voting. I sincerely doubt that you will get any NPC woman to respond with the answers you are looking for. May I suggest you edit your question before the doo-doo hits the fan? :)

Greeklaw girl is right. Membership Selection to us is considered to be ritual and not discussed.

Greeklawgirl, I took your advice to alter my original message. I did not know that some chapters considered choosing new members to be a ritual event, so sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes. Anyway, my chapter, unfortunately, has never had much guidance from National on what actual process we should use to choose who will get bids. We know what we are looking for in prospective new members, but our process for choosing them is not too effective, I think. I guess it would be best if I checked with a National personel member.

You didn't step on anyone's toes. :) I just didn't want you to get in trouble with your sisters for revealing your membership selection process!

I'm in charge of this kind of thing for my chapter. I'm sure your nationals has lots of helpful information and hints about the process you should use. :)

Like everyone else said, your Nationals are your best bet.

Bids are extended by the President & Rush Chair.

Well, she's in a NPC sorority, so things don't work that way for her. :) But for NIC fraternities, yes.
