She Did It...Again!
 

They don't call her Awesome "Dawes"ome for nothing! Dominique Dawes will be heading to Sydney for her third Olympics as part of the United States women's gymnastics team.

What - I did not think she was going to make it. I watched the event about two weeks ago. I'm really surprised!!!

I didn't get a chance to see the trials...just the announcement of the team. I am really happy for her. I think it was her first Olympics and I was in college or just out of college..I remember watching her routine and literally bursting into tears when she finished. She was awesome! You would have thought I was the girl's mama or coach or something!!! It is good to see a sister competing and doing well. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Wow, that's great! I didn't get to see the trials either. She is the best. I'm glad to see her go. How old is she now?

The trials were on last night. I missed them though. She came in 7th but because of her overall performance as an athlete, she got on the team. That is what the news reports say. I don't know about you guys but they gave her no coverage on Saturday and I was pretty mad. I don't know if they gave her coverage like they did Shannon Miller but it was ridiculous. She is 23 and from I have read she is still in school at the University of Maryland.

Hey, darling1, I thought she was at Stanford. Maybe I just heard her say that she wanted to attend school there. Who knows? Anyway... Okay, so, let's see. That means we've taken over golf, we've taken over tennis, now we've taken over gymnastics, too. Hotchie motchie!!!

Ahhh. I'm so glad to hear that Domonique is back and going to the Olympics. I thought she was done after the last Olympics because I guess no one can stop a Champion. I've watched Domonique since I was 15-16 and to see 7 years laters she's still here thank God. I love to see her perform on the floor exercise she's EXCELENTE!! lol God Bless
