What makes you happy?
 

Hi Guys,

I kinda got this idea from a work orientation I had recently. It's a bit a off the purpose of this forum but I like to keep people in good spirits. So my question is to you "What makes you happy"?

Peace and quiet makes me happy, but, as we all know, happiness can be taken away. Therefore, God gives me everlasting joy.

Having a piece of mind!

Knowing that all things are possible through JESUS!

Knowing my sister, mother, nieces, nephew, and others close and dear to me are safe!

I am most happy when I am in the Presence of the Lord.

God,family,friends and a really good book

I am most happy when I learn something new and now that I am reading the contemporary English version of the bible I find myself always getting happy about meanings that I am 'just' learning but that other people have been talking about for a long time - No there is no shame to my game, I am just starting to read the bible and get a better understanding of self, the world around me and people in it!!

I do have to agree with the piece of mind bit, to know that I and my family and friends are safe, is always a good feeling. I also love to be quiet and alone (not lonely), I love to relax the mind while bathing in a bubble bath and enjoying slow jams (old and new). And on the stressful days when you come in from work and you have to take care of self, I love to be surrounded by scented candles, and just chill!! And lastly Yoga is the best treatment for a stressed mind and body!!

No lines at the Super Wal-Mart.

Being part of a team.

Having someone play with your hair.
Sweet dreams.
Hot chocolate.
Road trips with friends.
Swinging on swings.
Watching a good movie cuddled up on a couch with someone you love.
Wrapping presents under the Christmas tree while eating cookies and
drinking eggnog.
Song lyrics printed inside your new CD so you can sing along without
feeling stupid.
Going to a really good concert.
Getting butterflies in your stomach every time you see that one person.
Making eye contact with a cute stranger.
Winning a really competitive game.

Girl, you had me worried for a minute there...I thought you had done lost your mind!!

Since I started this thread I'll respond too.

I agree that through the spirit and wisdom my personal saviour Jesus Christ I will forever have joy. As you said happiness can be taken away and God knows I believe that but when I am happy the most is when I am with my family, with kids, singing, and making others happy. I can be confused going insane but when I have those things my life seems complete if only for a while.


When I think of Jesus and what he's done for me I am forever filled with joy.

I agree with everything that has been said thus far- JESUS, family, friends. I also would like to add that being outdoors surrounded by nature with my two dogs has a calming effect on me at the end of the day.

Gummy bears, kittens, and playgrounds! I'm a simple gal.

What a beautiful topic. I need to see things like this more often. Perhaps we all do. I love to learn something new and to see new places. Getting outside of my boundaries makes me feel good.
