We give out prizes for points--GOOD ones, every semester.

For example, last year, first semester the prize was a full-body massage. Second semester it was a letter hoodie, and the runner up (ME!) got a letter bulletin board.

We have point events every week so it's easy for people to earn points. They are announced at chapter every week and appear in our newsletter. They range from non-mandatory sorority events (parties, formals, etc) to all campus events to preformances (dance recitals, concerts, debates, etc) that sisters are going to appear in.

We do points for filling out professor evaluations, turning in test study guides, being an officer, wearing your badge on a non-chapter day (I'm trying to think of other things). Everyone has fun with it and it really encourages participation. It's worked great for my chapter.

In my chapter you have to get a minimum number points to remain in good standing. Sisters get points for attending chapter, greek and campus events, donating to philanthropies holding offices, serving on committees, membership in other campus activities, making the deans list and achieving over a 3.0 gpa. Sisters lose points for missing mandatory events and lateness.

In my chapter the sister with the highest point total gets half her dues back. In addition we're probably going to use another idea this semester someone shared at convention. Split the chapter into two teams. The two teams compete to get the highest number of points. The team with the lowest number of points has to make dinner for the rest of the chapter.
