Kappa Recruitment!

Since I am anxiously awaiting the kickoff of Kamp Kappa (otherwise known as work week) this Sunday, I was wondering when all of your chapters have recruitment.

Our recruitment falls from August 19th through the 24th. I can't wait to meet our new member class!

So, when is recruitment on your campus?

Beta Chi/U. of Kentucky

I am serving as an Alumna Recruitment Visitor to Beta Chi chapter at the U. of Kentucky....and their recruitment is August 17 to August 22.

I'm so excited to be spending Recruitment with them!!!

Recruitment at the University of South Carolina begins August 19 and ends with bid day on August 25th! We move into our beautiful new house next week and retreat begins on August 14th!:D

Our recruitment isn't 'til January. :( But I'm looking forward to living vicariously through y'all. Keep us posted! Good luck especially to SherbertLemons and all the rest of our Eta Eta sisters, who will be presenting their first-ever formal recruitment this year. I'll be thinking about all of you.

Loyally delsigmata,
Andrea

keep us posted!

I won't be participating in recruitment this year because I'm an RA (conflict of interest).... but PLEASE keep us posted. I want to hear about everything... especially since we're your big sister chapter, and it's your first fall recruitment.

You must be going through work week now.... so let me know how it's going!! PM me or email me!!!

I'm going through Kappa withdrawal until Bid Day on Aug. 25th! I just hope there are a few UF rush threads on here!!!

Recruitment at FSU starts Monday!... not Sunday as previously stated! I need to call my little sister tonight and see how she's holding up - it's her first formal recruitment from the inside.

So yeah, Monday and Tuesday are Icewaters, Wednesday and Thursday are Philanthropy Day, Friday is Skit Day, Saturday is Pref, and Sunday is Bid Day!!!

I have really high hopes for my chapter this year - I think they're gonna look awesome and get a whole bunch of great New Members!

Is anyone out there that is a Kappa at Arizona State University? My sister is going through Recruitment there and I was wondering what it is like. Thanks!!

I just thought I'd emerge and tell you how our recruitment went. :) I've literally had NO chance to get on GC till now! Quota was 69 and we got close- I think we ended up with like 55 or something. I don't think that's bad for an unhoused chapter on this campus.

Beyond the numbers, though, they are incredible girls and I couldn't be more proud of them. I'm really pleased!

WOOHOO! Congrats to our newest chapter! Plus, we got a great GCer from UCF, Crazyocutie!

You go, girls!

Yay, Tiff, your sister decided to go through Recruitment! Be sure to let me know how it turns out.

UK's Recruitment

Let me just take a moment to brag on my ladies at the Beta Chi chapter (University of Kentucky).

Not only did they make quota (which was a struggle for many chapters on campus this year), they had AMAZING return rates, and got a new class of 53 women who are outstanding in every way.

On top of all of that, the chapter proved themselves to be classy, respectful, and true blue Kappas in everything they did--from Work Week to the last night of Membership Selection.

I am proud to be their sister, and to be their PDC!!!

Apparantly my ladies made a classy classy showing - we had really high party return rates, and did really well. Unfortunately, out of maybe 60 bids given, only 38 new members atteneded Bid Day. :( I don't know what happened, our Pref party numbers were the highest ever...

But COB is starting Tuesday, so I'm sure we'll pick up some amazing girls through that - I think I'm gonna try to go to Initiation this semester, somehow...
